☆ Burly Babes (10/1-21/2) Open level
This course is for those who might be new to Burlesque, or maybe want to freshen up on your skills, but maybe also have some previous experience with burlesque or dance.
We will be mixing classic burlesque, with glamourous and sexy moves like bumps n grinds, shimmys and shakes with some newer styled moves and music for an allround Burlesque Experience focusing on building confidence and self-love!
☆ Intermediate Burlesque (28/2-10/4) Int./Adv. level
This course is for those who have taken at least 2-3 previous semesters of Burly Babes or Newcomers Burlesque (or have other relevant previous dance experience).
We will be working with both the classic and commercial sides of Burlesque. Including soultry slow-burning moves, dirty floorwork, cabaret-styled flare and sassy attitudes!
Get ready to improve your Improvisation skills and performance technique.
You will be challenged with more in-depth exercises, and the choreo will be more technical and learnt at a faster pace.
The class will consist of warm-up and stretch, dance and burlesque technique, heels training and finish with a technical choreography.
☆ Burly Babes Showponies (17/4-5/6) Open level
This course is for those who maybe have some previous experience with burlesque or dance and want to work on your stage presence and performance technique.
We will be mixing classic burlesque, with glamourous and sexy moves like bumps n grinds, shimmys and shakes with some newer styled moves and music for an allround Burlesque Experience focusing on building confidence and self-love.
*This course will be working on a group performance to be performed at the Newcomers Night Showcase in June!
You do not have to participate in the show, and may only join the course for the practice and fun.
Newcomers Burlesque lvl. 1-2

☆ Newcomers Burlesque lvl. 1 (19/2-8/4)
Do you want to learn basic burlesque but have little to no previous experience? Then this course is for you! You will get an introduction to burlesque history while we learn tasseltwirling, bumps n grinds and other basic burlesque moves and burlesque traditions, while also incorporating theater exercises. During the course you'll learn a simple choreography, where you'll be able to be self-confident when dancing.
In this course we also have a tassel-workshop where we make our own tassels!
☆ Newcomers Burlesque lvl. 2 (15/4-3/6)
Suitable for those who have attended 1-3 courses previously, or have other dance or theater experience.
Here we work a little more purposefully on being able to perform choreography. We continue to work with acting techniques, such as character building, eye contact, and following each other as a group, but also building up our own burlesque alter ego. With baby steps, we explore improvisation and being able to find your own character within with a personal touch.
Through basic theater technique exercises we will learn to have fun with performance and presence on stage. We learn dance technique, and we challenge ourselves a little more in terms of technique, strength, stretch, choreo and performance.
